Whether you are a first year official or you have several years of experience, mentors will help you develop skills in the following order:

Positioning-where you want to be; the cone system.
Procedures-how you work with your partner, how to drop a puck, icings, offsides and what your responsibilities are.
Game Management-impact penalties, communication, setting a tone, and developing a tool belt.
